Description:
Contains Glucosamine and Meloxicam as active ingredients. Glucosamine: is a molecule present in the human body, it is a natural aminosaccharide, which has three main functions:
a) It intervenes in the biosynthesis of proteoglycans for the formation of cartilage.
b) It has membrane stabilizing properties by inhibiting the lysosomal action of the enzymes involved in the destruction of cartilage.
c) Decreases the formation of superoxide radicals synthesized by macrophages. Glucosamine is synthesized in the body, but its production declines with age. It is indicated in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, ostearthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and non-rheumatic inflammation, since it improves the maintenance and strengthening of the existing cartilage. Meloxicam: is a non-steroidal systemic anti-inflammatory medication that belongs to the family of enolcarboxamides oxycames, whose function is to inhibit cyclooxygenase, which is the enzyme responsible for converting arachidonic acid to prostaglandins that are the mediators of inflammation. It is a selective COX-2 cyclooxygenase inhibitor with antirheumatic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, indicated for the symptomatic treatment derived from rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
Indications:
It is indicated in the short-term symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis and the different forms of extra-articular rheumatism.
