Orobact is an antibiotic for oral administration, with a bactericidal effect and belongs to the recent group of third generation oral cephalosporins. It has advanced physicochemical and pharmacokinetic characteristics differentiated from the first and second generation of cephalosporins.
Due to its marked broad-spectrum bactericidal action, especially against the most frequent gram-negative microorganisms in respiratory and urinary tract infections, as well as gram-positive microorganisms that do not respond to other antimicrobials, Orobact has shown greater therapeutic efficacy in:
- Acute otitis media.
- Tonsillitis, pharyngitis.
- Acute bronchitis and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia.
- Uncomplicated urinary tract infections.
- Gonorrhea, uncomplicated urethritis and cervicitis.
