Close to the 30th anniversary of the International Conference on Primary Health Care, held in Alma Ata, in 1978, and after seven years since the adoption of the Millennium Declaration, which set global goals and objectives for human development for 2015, and in consideration of the fact that, averaging that period today, various changes have taken place, an International Conference on Health for Development recently took place in our country under the slogan: “Buenos Aires 30/15. From Alma Ata to the Millennium Declaration: Rights, Facts and Realities ”. The event was attended by the Ministers of Health from sixty countries, among which ours was the host, and was sponsored by WHO, PAHO, UNICEF, and the Inter-American Development Bank, among other international organizations linked to the topic.
